A sharing from the farm! Andre søndag i Advent + Update KAL

Så tenner vi to lys i kveld, to lys for håp og glede

De står og skinner for seg selv og oss som er tilstede

Så tenner vi to lys i kveld, to lys for håp og glede

(Tonight we light two candles, two candles for hope and happiness.

They stand there shinning for all of us, here, together.

So tonight we light two candles, we light them for hope and happiness)

My gift to you this second Sunday in advent...opening the second window... is the....

Traditional Norwegian Gløgg Recipe or Mulled Wine

Gløgg is a much beloved tradition throughout Norway during the holidays.

It is best made homemade!

This recipe, which uses red wine, comes from the village of Fannrem, which is a farming community very close to where I live - just down the mountain.

I made mine this weekend with apple juice and black current juice, from this summer.

Gløgg is always served with raisins, almonds and pepperkaker!

Enjoy!

Update! Upcoming Holiday KAL

For those of you that are interested in our upcoming holiday KAL, it will not begin until Sunday, December 19th.

We will check in on this day with our plans, but the KAL will actually take place during "romjul" or the days in between Christmas.

Romjul actually means the space between Christmas, which begins December 26th.

We will then be following the Norwegian Christmas calendar, which goes well into January.

Soon I will be posting registration for anyone that wishes to join us.

Later, you will find the link at the top of my website, within the menu bar.

We will discuss the KAL and all of our plans together on December 19th!

Velkommen!

Gledelig advent!

Warmest regards from the farm,

Patricia x

Thanks for the sharing and the recipe. I really appreciate it. I am going to be looking back to last year to find the crocheted Christmas balls and snowflakes To make for our tree. I am really looking forward to the KAL.
