Hurra!! for 5000 Traditional Norwegian Håndverk Journeys!

Kom, mai, du skjønne, milde... Come, May, you beautiful, gentle one... Greetings from the farm, Another new season of making has come and gone. Daylight returns, and spring has arrived with a burst of energy and NEW inspiration! Once again I would like to take the opportunity to thank publicly....(Tusen hjertelig takk!) - my mentors, local sponsors, my local Historielag and all of the participants within my traditional Norwegian håndverk courses, Traditional Guild Members and individual students (locally and remotely). I am especially indebted to Silje, Agnete, Ranghild, Åshild and Eli for your encouragement, support and unwavering guidance and for the special recognition I received last weekend during my project presentation at the national veileder samlingen (gathering). It has been an honour to be asked to participate, to contribute, and to work in collaboration with my colleagues representing Trøndelag within the national Norsk rødliste for håndverk 2024 project focus. It was an overwhelming, full circle moment of awareness within my own traditional journey - facilitating 5000 traditional journeys since Autumn 2017! From a beginning phase perspective within traditional Norwegian, stranded, hand knitting and traditional Norwegian båndveving (band weaving) ...right the way through to the most advanced, heirloom standard - I have been working diligently to keep the håndverksløftet entrusted to me. Indeed! It is a another moment of accomplishment to celebrate here on our little farm! But a moment which holds my deepest gratitude, for the support to achieve and to reach this dream of living a creative life, as I always envisioned. This work gives me immense joy, and I am humbled to be presented with these engaging opportunities! Welcome Spring and all that will unfold and blossom in making fellowship! Warmest regards, Patricia
