Greetings from the farm,
This spring, I will be hosting a finishing course, which will support you to continue moving along on your traditional Norwegian knitting journey.
If you have a tradtitional garment that is sitting, unfinished, for whatever reason, THIS is the course for you!
Let's get into it!
We are going to break it down, make a plan, review the techniques and FINISH!
In my long experience as a teacher/facilitator, I have learnt that when something isn't finished or is left undone, there is a "block" of some sort.
You have lost your way within the pattern, you need a different approach and understanding to apply a technique, your motivation has wained, because of the many steps involved - the list of "whys" can be long!
Whatever the reason...this can leave you feeling overwhelmed - with an "I can't do it" attitude.
You feel somewhat defeated and you stop reaching out for help.
As a result, you put your project aside and your journey on hold.
I am here to tell you that you CAN finish!
I am an expert at the puzzling it out, the un-blocking and I challenge you to find someone that loves finishing more than I do! :)
The only requirements of this course are that you must be an active participant in the process.
You must be able to engage via email, attend Zoom Check-ins to communicate directly, follow mini-lesson presentations and in-depth discussions.
I must be able to see your project from time to time and you must be able to send high resolution photos, as needed.
We will sort out where you are, what you are finding challenging, break it down and sort out a time frame that suits your schedule day to day.
Make sure the timer on your phone works! :)
I will manage the plan, follow up your progress and help you to be accountable!
Are you ready?
Let's get started!
Registration Opens on May 1st
The course will run for approximately 4 weeks, with an option to continue if needed.
All Zoom Check-ins + mini- lessons will be held for this course on Sundays.
You must, of course, have been a participant within one of my previous tradtional courses.
The benefit of this course is that our discussions will be in depth and encompass all types of traditional garment knitting - so you will always learn something from our focus and the community as a whole.
This will surely INSPIRE, encourage and awaken your passion!
We will reflect and evaluate our progress together on Wednesday, June 1st!
The fee for the course is $36 US dollars (which does not include the Paypal fees).
A brand new month, a brand new knitting bag book and a brand new start! Here we go!
Wonders or reflections? What have I forgotten?
Leave those comments below!
Velkommen!
Warmest regards from the farm,
Patricia x
Hello Patricia, Happy Mother's Day!
How do I register for the "Wait I'm not finished yet!"? Through donation link? or Do I use "Spring - choose your own path"?
PS: If anyone else here in our community knows the answer, please let me know!
Thank you!
I am not alone! ☺️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩🤩❤️🎉🎊🎊
I have no words to express my gratitude to you, Patricia! I want to finish my Gammel, I got stuck on the sleeves! So happy to be able to get it done.🤞🏼 I miss all of you!
What a nice idea, Patricia! My last course with you was the Traditional Genser last summer, and I am still working on it and on my Gammal Sandvik. I am slow, but not discouraged! I would join this catch up course if I could, but alas, at this time, I cannot. Perhaps you will offer it again in the fall or another time? Best wishes from my small farm to yours :) Pelly
Perfect offering-how did you know?! I’m looking forward to finishing at least one project so I can begin to master the skills you’ve taught us. Thank you for offering continued support!
