The warping with the wool went very well and the weaving ist fun. Although I had to get used to the bouncing when beating. In the beginning I made a mistake. I thought the heddle had to be in the up position in the pattern row where all the pattern threads are down. After a few picks I realised that was wrong so I wove back. Now I am on track.
Here is my start for Module 2. I wish I had time to tell you all about my first attempt. All I can say is that my weaving bag book is full of expletives! I now understand why the draw down is used.😞
First band is underway! Much prefer using wool and I am slowing it down and trying to be mindful of every motion. Warp tension is my main challenge, I think, with both warping the loom and consistency when advancing the weaving as I move along. I‘m enjoying this pattern - easily memorized so that I am paying closer attention to the weaving itself.

Here are my first 30 cm, backstrap.

Cheers,
Mary.
I warped yesterday and found it easier than the slippery cotton. I haven’t started weaving yet.
