I bought yarn locally and it is in skeins so needs to be wound into balls. I don't have a ball winder so am using a nostepin(sp?). I don't really have the technique down but am doing my best. Do I really need to do it twice. I am not sure I understand the advantage of doing it twice.

Loving your colors…and the results of your double-winding. Enjoy

August 18/21. Hello….. I am making a Hals while I wait for the Fall courses to begin. I’m very pleased to already learn things I knew about getting gauge and also rewinding the nøste. The three nøste of Finnulgarn have been in my stash for awhile and they really benefited from fluffing up. I‘m expecting the wool will flow better while stranding.

Patricia, I really like the colors you’re using for the Deep Winter on the Path cowl - can you share the shade numbers? Thank you! I’ve only made a small progress but my tension is better, I’m anchoring, and the stranding is going a tiny bit easier. Love the class! Thank you!😘

My yarn arrived today I am so happy. Patricia do you think the colors are contrasting enough? I am very inexperienced with colors. My motto is usually “it‘s mine and it’s clean - wear it.” Thank you.

Thanks Patricia. So I would use the one in the middle as my background right?

I have a question regarding picking the right size for the project. I prefer a close fitting hals, so initially I thought I'd choose the smallest size, but my head circumference is 61 cm. Would the 60 cm hals be able to stretch over my big head or am I better off going for the second size and having a looser fit. Thank you.

Hello! It sounds like that you would like the the ease of the 65 cm hals...if your measurements are 61 cm and you say you prefer more ease.

It is really down to your personal preference...but this is what it seems you are expressing. x
