I'm just amazed that people in Norway are talking about and responding to American political figures. It's good (and bad) to know that so many are watching.
I have been watching youtube videos on Norway and hope to visit one day, it looks so beautiful. I would love to walk up your mountain path or one like it one day.
Im a little late getting started on my mittens. My grandchildren lost daycare for a few weeks due to staff having Covid so I was taking care of them. I have my yarn and hope to get started soon.
Patricia, I know we (as in you) spoke during one of the zoom session on how to "convert" the zigzag lace cuff to more of a scallop. However, I've forgotten - would you be so kind as to refresh my memory?
As you spoke about the transition I was wondering if there was a rule of thumb regarding a max number to increase - perhaps as a total number of the cuff stitches. It seems you settled at ~10%. Would that percentage vary based on the type of yarn (lace, fingering, DK).
Finally (at least for the moment - I lied I have one more after this), as we start thinking about creating our ow…
Another great thing about this lesson: slowly easing us into getting used to the set up of the big Selbuvotter book. I do admit I was overwhelmed by it when I first got it.
But I definitely got an “aha” moment today : on page 39 of the English language version of the book is a paragraph at the bottom discussing men’s mittens: they often can have double “panels” (cuff patterns)around the wrist. So I can do the motif of the 3.herrevott example Patricia is modifying and then choose another motif to knit on top of that before I transition to the hand.

That would be excellent for me and my long hand…
