Velkommen sommer! - Welcome summer!
Greetings from the farm,
Here we are once again at the start of a NEW season of making in fellowship!
Daylight and summer bring NEW energy to our handwork!
As always, I want to take the opportunity to thank publicly....(Tusen hjertelig takk!) - my mentors, local sponsors, my local Historielag and all of the participants within my traditional Norwegian håndverk courses, Traditional Guild Members and individual students (locally and remotely).
Special thanks to Eli and the Telemark weaving facilitators, Marit and Ragnhild - and the local Selbu mill!
And...while I am at it, a special Thank you and Welcome! to all of the visitors from afar, joining in to our local Immigration Celebration offerings - which I have had the pleasure to host, guide and support to settle in, and enjoy the best that summer and Trøndelag have to offer!
We have only just begun to celebrate the bicentennial of the first organized emigration from Norway and the current immigration to Norway, with events and projects planned throughout the year - but it has been such an enjoyable and exciting start!
Especially for me personally - being an immigrant into Norway myself!

Traditional Norwegian Håndverk Study and Traditional Guild Membership!
For those of you that have inquired or are interested specifically in Traditional Norwegian Handwork and History - membership into the traditional Norwegian handwork guild is now OPEN once again for a short period of time.
As I have shared at the beginning of each new season - as with local guilds here in Norway, this is a monthly membership offering and includes explorations and studies within all traditional Norwegian handwork disciplines, which are always connected to the seasons and the old farm wheel calendar.
If you are interested in registering your participation to join our traditional guild community - please contact me directly.
knitography@gmail.com
Your email will be forwarded to me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
We have an exciting NEW sommer season of håndverk explorations, studies and making to look forward to within our traditional community!
Velkommen skal du være! (Be Welcome!)
Warmest regards from the farm,
Patricia

I have been a student of Patricia’s since 2020. It has been such a full and rewarding journey. Altho i don’t think i have any Norwegian blood in me, I feel like I do from all the exposure to history, language and the wonderful handwork, traditions, recipes and farm wheel life. I have learned so many new skills and improved on the ones that I enjoyed before joining Knitography. I have so many new friends from all around the world that I’m sure I will have for a lifetime. Tusend Takk, Patricia.
Such an exciting time in Norway- so many celebrations and ways to enjoy the culture and all the traditions! I appreciate all that I'm learning and the time and patience that Patricia shares with us daily...I look forward to a new season! Curious or interested in joing? Please do and know that you will be welcomed into an amazing community! Amy H.
What a lovely article ❣️
I have been a member of the Guild for two years (since its beginning). What I enjoy about the Guild is that it offers not only interesting classes and studies, but also a dive into the history behind what we study. Patricia is an excellent teacher and encourages and supports each of her students from start to finish on their projects….right into the minutiae of beautiful finishing touches and perfect fit! We have a wonderful community of eager learners who also support and encourage each other! I am so very grateful to be a part of this learning experience!
Tusen takk❣️
Congratulation to all of your accomblishments and thank you for all the interessting studies I had the possibilitie to participate in. I am very looking forward to a new season of making.
