Greetings from the farm, Velkommen Desember! Goodness! the summer and autumnal season of making in fellowship has been wonderfully full on! I haven't had time for updating, or to offer my seasonal gratitude publicly. It is hard to believe, but here we are at the start of December and early winter, having soon arrived at the end of this year-long, traditional, making in fellowship offering. WHAT an adventure! Such inspiration! With so many engaging hand work explorations, historic studies and many stunning, traditional finishes to celebrate! To each participant, To those that collaborated, believed in my work and offered sponsorship for giveaways, To local and national curators, museums, mills, and to the unwavering encouragement and support from the local, Trøndelag region, historical society; I am humbled and grateful for the support I have received within this year-long offering. I am also indebted to my veileder/mentors - for their trust, their encouragement, and their challenge to keep reaching, to continue to expand my knowledge and facilitation skills even further, as I travel along on my own traditional journey. Tusen hjertelig takk (Thank you!) for being there the whole year through! I have been so fortunate to be asked to work on, participate in, and facilitate a variety of traditional Norwegian hand work projects throughout this year - locally and remotely. From traditional, regional hand knitting projects, right the way through along to traditional hand weaving sessions. All directly connected to seasonal making, and the old farm wheel calendar. My aim for the year! It has been good, inspirational, and challenging work! Now, as we transition back into another beautiful season of making - finishing up summer and autumnal traditional hand work and heirloom garment courses... We arrive back into early winter - where this journey actually began! It is time to celebrate our year long, cyclical wandering through this traditional hand work experience with an end of the year offering - Farm-Mas 2024 Som jeg gleder meg! (Which I am really looking forward to!) Warmest regards from the farm, Patricia

What a fantastic year this has been. I am in awe of all the beautiful koftes, socks, mittens, hats, haps, and other beautiful hand made items that our guild has made this year. It is a bittersweet moment that it will end soon. I wish it could just go on and on. I have had several set backs, but I have learned so much. Patricia, I can't thank you enough for giving 200% of yourself as you always do, so we can learn from you, the best teacher I have ever had. I mean that from the bottom of a very grateful heart. I hope you will consider doing this again, because it was such an amazing adventure of l…
I just wanted to learn how to do Norwegian stranded knitting and to steek… well, this community that Patricia has crafted and poured her heart into is so much more! This wonderful group led by Patricia has become a way of life… Norwegian life… and I so look forward to every day. Learning details I never knew existed in this very beautiful knitting of historical garments. It’s a lifetime of learning which is so exciting to me and so addictive. I am so grateful for Patricia and all these good people.
This guild year has been the most amazingly creative traditional experience. Creating and sharing while questioning and learning have become the life that should be in all spokes of the farm wheel/our lives. This community is so inspiring with true friendships built through all life’s challenges, joys, and learning. To Patricia, the mills, mentors, museum and this community, Tusen takk.
This has been a year I’ll never forget! Patricia and the Guild Offering has meant the world to me. It has filled me with so much joy, inspiration, and curiosity. I’ve so enjoyed learning all about the farm wheel and all the traditions. It has opened doors of wonders that I want to go further down the rabbit hole on. I am beyond grateful for all that Patricia has offered and shared with us this year, the Guild was far more than I ever could have imagined and I’ve become even closer with this community she has built. Tusen takk Patricia! Looking forward to what is next on the horizon!
