Figured out the middle stitch on the chart with no problem; but the light bulb went off after Sunday’s CheckIn with your explanation of the moving stitch on the sleeve. Thank you! The sleeve is coming along just fine!
No problem finding the middle stitch thanks to your worksheet and clear and patient teaching.
Decreases not a problem again thanks to your clarity.
I am becoming less dependent on the charts!
You are a wonderful teacher, Patricia. I have found so much satisfaction learning the techniques you have shared and taught to me. You given me much more confidence with my knitting. Thank you so very much.
Love the way the sleeves are looking so far. So glad you suggested doing both sleeves at the same time. I think I finally have a handle on finding the middle stitch. I have made it through diagrams 2,3, 2 On both sleeves.
I am definitely getting into the flow. I can basically do diagram 2 without looking at the chart.
Since I am such a slow knitter, I know it is still going to take a while to finish the sleeves.
Thanks for sharing so much of your farm with us! I really enjoy hearing about the sheep, plant, etc
My kit arrived on Wednesday, hooray! I cast on that afternoon and I have both belegg completed. One arm I have about 12 cm knit and all is going well:- middle stitch found
- underarm stitch is a pearl
- I like your 2 marker technique marking the decreases, it really helps! Thank you for sharing!
- And I'm using your suggestion and memorizing the row pattern, not referencing the chart so often. It does knit up faster.
- I've decided to knit the traditional selbugenser. The moose are so fun. I hope it won't insult the designer but the row with the people I'm thinking of replacing with the selbu rose since they are the same row…

Thank you for persevering as we internalize the sleeve
information, as you put it.
This evening and into the early morning hours as I knit
along on the sleeve . . . I realized a few things.
1. Oh my stars. I am knitting a real sweater
in a real booklet and understanding and it's not even in English.
And this is all because of you Patricia. Thank you.
2. I am knitting with all manner of hands, switching working yarn around
and tensioning methods. Yikes ! but my hand is compromised and so
I'm doing whatever I can to knit.
3. 4 inch needles tips are tooooo short for me, causing a bit of difficulty
especially with a compromised…
