I do not understand the significance of calculating and marking the middle sleeve stitch. Does that mark the middle of a motif requiring a calculation on where on the row to start knitting the pattern?
Peggy - if you do not calculate this sleeve stitch, your motif will not be placed on the middle of the upper arm. Putting the whole design off balance. These calculations also give you your starting point for the sleeve.
Such great info to get us going on our sleeves !🙏🏻 I’m assuming when we get to the decrease part we move our chart “starting stitch” one stitch to the left for each decrease as we did in the kofte class …? also, I know you mentioned this in the Zoom but I forgot 😇already - just for reference, you said you need to decrease every 4 rows for “ your“ row count … are you decreasing then on the “5th row/next row after the 4 rows“ or are you decreasing on your 4th row?
