I am still working on Band 2 and hope to finish this weekend. I don’t think I received Band 3 draft because of e-mail problems but I’ll check. I’m up to my eyeballs in packing and moving- should be back in my house by Wednesday evening, surrounded by hundreds of boxes. But I’m keeping my loom close so I can weave, and breathe when I take a break
I am working on weaving Band 2 but trying to catch up. I found the warping of the bands better for some reason. I am using the back strap method and am feeling a little less like I am all thumbs. Watching the videos is a big help as I use them when I am warping step by step. I am finding my edges a problem with trying to be consistent and also with how wide to make the band. Definitely lots to learn.
Patricia, I looked at the virtual classroom video again for band #3 and I am thinking I probably need to start over since my band is not looking like yours. My band is resembling bands #1/2. I will try a few picks on it to see if I can have it working out like yours. I understand this is a learning process and it takes time and patience to accomplish the weaving process. 😊

I tried indirect warping this time on my rigid heddle loom and it was a bit of a disaster, but I was able to fix it. I was away from home when warping so did not have all the tools I would have had at home to help me fix my issue, but I managed and everything looks good now.
I am about half way through the weaving and am really enjoying it. I am working really hard on edge consistancy and am getting better, but there is still room for improvement.
Hello Patricia, I am at the beginning of weaving band #3 and the warping went very well this time of which I was grateful for. I watched the video with your weaving of this band and the weft threads are very obvious and you said that you were using the 8/2 cotton. I am using the 8/4 cotton and the cotton in the blue color way feels different to me from the yarn colors I previously used, perhaps a softer feel, I don’t know it may simply be the dye lot. I am paying close attention to each pick and feel for the edge of the loop when it goes into the warp. I am not consistently seeing …
