Today was full and inspirational!
As part of my certification, I was eligiable to participte in a most engaging seminar this morning, on traditional folk art history, specifically related to band weaving.
These historic pieces and the stories behind them depict practical uses of woven bands during the turn of the century.
This one is particulary beautiful and moving. It was painted on a woven cloth.
I look forward to sharing some of these special pieces and the stories with band weaving participants in future.
